RESOLUTION 2000-087
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COU~CIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING ADDITIONAL FUNDING IN mE AMOUNT OF
$406,842 TO BE ADDED TO ALREADY AumORIZED FUNDING OF
$1,738,000 FOR A NEW BACK-UP GENERATOR AND ASSOCIATED
EQUIPMENT AND BUILDINGS AT FT. RAYMOND SUBSTATION.
WHEREAS, Council has previously approved in the fiscal year 2000 capital improvements
budget $650,000 for a new backup generator and building, modernization of controls, and
replacement of the substation battery building; and,
WHEREAS, the original budget of$I,738,000 has been refined and the budget for the entire
project is now $2,144,842; and,
WHEREAS, additional funding in the amount of$406,842 from the Electric Fund Retained
Earnings 501-0000-3050 is required for the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to appropriate the additional $406,842 from
Electric Fund Retained Earnings, Account 501-0000-3050 to the Replacement Electric Generator
Fund Account No. 505-0000-3071-0000, making the total authorized and appropriated funding for
the project $2,144,842.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 14th day
of August, 2000.
