RESOLUTION 2000-096
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, APPROPRIATING $37,672 OF STATE REVENUE SHARING
MONIES FOR THE HEALTH FACILITIES WITHIN THE CITY OF
SEWARD AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO THOSE HEALTH
FACILITIES BASED UPON THE STATE REVENUE SHARING ALLOCA-
TION
WHEREAS, The Alaska Revenue Sharing program provides operating funds to qualified
municipalities and boroughs each fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the Alaska Revenue Sharing monies are based on health facilities
within the City of Seward and those monies must be expended for health care; and
WHEREAS, State law requires Revenue Sharing monies for hospitals not operated by the
municipality to be passed through to the hospital; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to pass through Revenue Sharing monies for
other health facilities based on the State Revenue Sharing allocation for those other health facilities
to the other health facilities within the City of Seward.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. State Revenue Sharing monies for the health facilities within the City of Seward
in the amount of$37,672 be appropriated based upon the revenue sharing allocation from the State
Revenue Sharing, account no. 101-0000-4350-0141 to Providence Seward Medical Center, account
no. 101-1191-5610-0011 in the amount of$9,258; to Wesley Rehabilitation & Care Center, account
no. 101-1191-5610-0012 in the amount of $21,071; and to Seaview Community Services, account
no. 101-1191-5610-1187 in the amount of$7,343.
Section 2. The city manager is authorized to transfer state revenue sharing monies to
Providence Seward Medical Center in the amount of$9,258, to Wesley Rehabilitation & Care Center
in the amount of$21,071 and to Seaview Community Services in the amount of$7,343.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
