RESOLUTION 2000-097
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, APPROVING AMENDMENT 2 TO THE PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES AGREEMENT WImMIKUNDA, COTTRELL & CO. EXTEND-
ING THE AGREEMENT TO PERFORM mE EXTERNAL AUDIT
SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF SEWARD FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR
ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2000 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAN-
AGER TO SIGN AMENDMENT 2
WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution 97-063 on May 12, 1997 approving
a professional services agreement with Mikunda, Cottrell & Co. (Mikunda) to perform the City's
external audit services for a period of three years beginning with FY1997 through FY1999; and
WHEREAS, the agreement allows for two one-year options for renewal subject to
approval of both parties; and
WHEREAS, the first of those options was approved by Resolution 99-168 on December
13, 1999 for the audit of the six-month period ended December 31, 1999; and
WHEREAS, Mikunda has agreed to extend the agreement for one year to perform the
external audit services for the calendar year ending December 31, 2000 for an amount not to
exceed $37,600; and
WHEREAS, based upon Mikunda continuing it's fee at the same price for five audits, their
knowledge of the City's operations and the good working relationship that the City continues to
have with Mikunda, it is administration's recommendation to extend the professional services
agreement with Mikunda to perform the external audit of the City's calendar year ending
December 31,2000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Amendment 2 to the Professional Services Agreement with Mikunda, Cottrell &
Co. be approved extending the Agreement to perform the external audit services for the City of
Seward for the calendar year ending December 31,2000.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to sign Amendment 2 to the Professional Services
Agreement with Mikunda, Cottrell & Co.

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 11 th.day
of September, 2000.
