CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION 2000-100
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT WITH VISTA ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS, INC. FORAN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $332,284.36 FOR PHASE n CONSTRUCTION
AT FT. RAYMOND SUBSTATION.
WHEREAS, The City of Seward issued request for bids for Phase II construction at Ft.
Raymond Substation related to the installation ofa new generator and upgrading of the substation
to accommodate that new generator; and,
WHEREAS, Six responses were received from various electrical contractors ranging from
a high bid of$573,739.1O to a low bid of $332,284.36; and,
WHEREAS, Vista Electrical Contractors, Inc. submitted the low bid for the project; and,
WHEREAS, The bids were evaluated for adherence to specifications by the engineering firm
of Dryden & LaRue; and,
WHEREAS, The evaluation D&L recommends that the bid be awarded to Vista Electrical
Contractors, Inc. for a price of$332,284.36.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Vista Electrical
Contractors, Inc. for Phase II construction at Ft. Raymond Substation for a price not-to-exceed
#332,284.36.
Section 2 This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 11 th day
of September, 2000.
