RESOLUTION 2000-112
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PAY DUES OWED
TO THE ALASKA RURAL ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION
(ARECA) FOR THE YEAR 2000 IN THE AMOUNT OF $11,771.00.
WHEREAS, the Alaska Rural Electric Cooperative Association (ARECA) is the organization
representing telephone and electric utilities in the State of Alaska; and,
WHEREAS, the ARECA organization provides a forum and opportunity for interaction and
professional coordination of Electric Utility Activities and is an extremely valuable organization for
the City to belong to and participate in; and,
WHEREAS, the dues for ARECA for the year 2000 is $11,771.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to pay the year 2000 dues to ARECA in the
amount of$II,771.00.
Section 2.. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council ofthe city of Seward, Alaska, this 9th day
of October, 2000.
