RESOLUTION 2000-120
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, CHANGING TEMPORARY HALF TIME LmRARY ASSISTANT TO
REGULAR HALF-TIME LmRARY ASSISTANT AND RESCINDING ALL
PRIOR RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT
WHEREAS, the library has a temporary half-time aid position and
WHEREAS, temporary employees are limited to working not more than nine
consecutive months in a year as stated in Personnel Code 3.25.040 and
WHEREAS, the position is funded year round, the library is required to hire and
train someone new every nine months and
WHEREAS, the cost involved in changing the temporary halftime library
assistant position to regular half time is minimal due to number of hours worked.

NOW, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
The temporary half-time library assistant position is hereby designated as a
regular half-time library assistant.
ENACTMENT by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 9th day of
October, 2000.
