RESOLUTION 2000-124
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, RE-APPROPRIATING $56,996 FROM ELECTRIC DEPART-
MENT 1999 RETAINED EARNINGS, ACCOUNT 501-0000-3050, TO
ACCOUNT 501-5200-5930 AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
MATERIALS FROM STRUSSER ELECTRIC COMPANY FOR THE
HARBOR STREET LIGHTS.
WHEREAS, the City Council on September 13, 1999 passed Resolution 99-132, authorizing
the purchase of poles, fixtures and arms for 24 luminaires from Strusser Electric Company for an
amount not-to-exceed $69,792; and,
WHEREAS, for various reasons not all of the material was delivered by Strusser in 1999
resulting in only $4,656 being paid to the supplier in 1999; and,
WHEREAS, through an oversight the remaining billings by Strusser totaling $56,996 were
paid in CY2000 without proper Council authorization; and,
WHEREAS, it is now necessary to request Council to authorize re-appropriation of$56,996
from CY1999 Electric Department Retained Earnings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Funds in the amount of $56,996 are hereby reappropriated from the Electric
Department Retained Earnings, Account 501-0000-3050 to Account 501-5200-5930 and authorize
the purchase of materials from Strusser Electric Company for the Harbor Street Lights.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 23rd
day of October, 2000.
