RESOLUTION 2000-156
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT WITH NYE FRONTIER FORD FOR THE PURCHASE OF
TWO (2) POLICE PATROL VEHICLES, THE COST NOT TO EXCEED
$47,712.90
WHEREAS, the City properly advertised for the bids on the police vehicles; and
WHEREAS, Nye Frontier Ford ofWasiIla, Alaska was the low bidder; and
WHEREAS, the bid was responsive to the request for bids; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department has sufficient funds in the Motor Pool Equipment
Account to cover the cost ofthe two new vehicles.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to issue a purchase order to Nye Frontier Ford
in an amount not to exceed $47,712.90 to purchase two (2) model year 2001 Ford Explorer vehicles
for the Police Department.
Section 2. The cost ofthe two new vehicles, $47,712.90, will be charged to the Motor Pool
Equipment Account 102-1020-5930.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council ofthe City of Seward, Alaska, this 11 day
of December 2000.
