<br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />PORT AND COMMERCE ADVISORY BOARD <br />RESOLUTION 2003-04 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA. PORT AND COMMERCE <br />ADVISORY BOARD, RECOMMENDING THE SUPPORT OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF <br />THE AVTEC FIRE TRAINING FACILITY AT THE SEWARD MARINE INDUSTRIAL <br />CENTER. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Seward has sought to promote long term use and development <br />at SMIC; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, A VTEC continues to seek development of its programs to enhance training <br />capabilities in its maritime program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new fire training facility at SMIC has potential to attract new customers <br />with incentives for local training; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this plan fits well within the scope of desired development at SMIC; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this plan, in concert with the City of Seward, will provide additional training <br />facilities for the City's fire department. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND RECOMMENDED BY THE PORT AND <br />COMMERCE ADVISORY BOARD OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, THAT: <br /> <br />Section 1.
