<br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />PORT AND COMMERCE ADVISORY BOARD <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-01 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, PORT <br />AND COMMERCE ADVISORY BOARD, RECOMMENDING THE <br />CITY ADMINISTRATION ISSUE A LETTER ASKING FOR <br />EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR THE OPERATION OF THE <br />50-TON TRAVEL LIFT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Seward has requested the Port and <br />Commerce Advisory Board give a recommendation on retaining the 50- ton travel lift or <br />privatizing its operation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Port and Commerce Advisory Board is interested in seeing if <br />any private business is interested in operating the 50-ton travel lift; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the expressions of interest will be in no way binding; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, any expressions of interest received will help the board to make a <br />more knowledgeable recommendation to the Council. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND RECOMMENDED BY <br />THE PORT AND COMMERCE ADVISORY BOARD OF THE CITY OF <br />SEWARD, ALASKA, that: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City administration will issue a letter asking for requests for <br />expressions of interest in operating the 50 ton travel lift. <br /> <br />Section 2. The administration will report any responses to this request to the Port <br />and Commerce Advisory Board. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED by the City of Seward, Alaska, Port and Commerce <br />Advisory Board this 2nd day of March, 2005. <br /> <br />PORT AND COMMERCE ADVISORY BOARD <br /> <br />~~ <br />
