RESOLUTION NO. 2005-01
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, PORT
AND COMMERCE ADVISORY BOARD, RECOMMENDING THE
CITY ADMINISTRATION ISSUE A LETTER ASKING FOR
EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR THE OPERATION OF THE
50-TON TRAVEL LIFT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Seward has requested the Port and
Commerce Advisory Board give a recommendation on retaining the 50- ton travel lift or
privatizing its operation; and
WHEREAS, the Port and Commerce Advisory Board is interested in seeing if
any private business is interested in operating the 50-ton travel lift; and
WHEREAS, the expressions of interest will be in no way binding; and
WHEREAS, any expressions of interest received will help the board to make a
more knowledgeable recommendation to the Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND RECOMMENDED BY
THE PORT AND COMMERCE ADVISORY BOARD OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City administration will issue a letter asking for requests for
expressions of interest in operating the 50 ton travel lift.
Section 2. The administration will report any responses to this request to the Port
and Commerce Advisory Board.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City of Seward, Alaska, Port and Commerce
Advisory Board this 2nd day of March, 2005.
