CALL TO ORDER
The April 1, 2008 special meeting of the Seward City Council was called to order at 6:00
p.m. by Mayor Clark Corbridge.
OPENING CEREMONY
City Manager Phillip Oates led the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
ROLL CALL
There were present:
Clark Corbridge presiding and
Willard Dunham Linda Amberg
Bob Valdatta Tom Smith
Jean Bardarson Betsy Kellar

comprising a quorum of the Council; and
Phillip Oates, City Manager
Jean Lewis, City Clerk
Mark Kneedler, Architects Alaska
Bob Hicks, Community Director

CITIZENS' COMMENTS ON ANY SUBJECT EXCEPT THOSE ITEMS SCHEDULED
FOR PUBLIC HEARING -None
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Motion (Bardarson/Smith)
Approval of Agenda
Councilmember Amberg declared a possible conflict of interest, because her husband worked
as a maintenance person in the Wesley Care Facility. There were no objections from the
council, and Mayor Corbridge ruled a conflict did not exist.

Contract Negotiations And Bond Reserves
For The Long Term Care Facility Project
That Could Impact The Finances Of The
City.
Motion Passed Unanimous
Went Into Executive Session At 6:05 p.m.
7:35 p.m. -Seward Planning and Zoning Commission regular meeting was scheduled to begin.
Council recessed Executive Session to move to the upstairs conference room.
Went back into Executive Session at 7:39 p.m.
Came Out Of Executive Session At 8:40 p.m.

COUNCIL AND ADMINISTRATION RESPONSE TO CITIZENS' COMMENTS -None
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 8:41 p.m.
