HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes2008-107Sponsored by: Oates CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION 2008-107 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING THE CITY OF S E WARD'S CALENDAR YEAR 2009 CITY PRIORITIES WHEREAS, the City annually compiles a list of projects or issues that arc identified as top city priorities; and WHEREAS, the list of projects is compiled and distributed to granting agencies for city priority projects and the City of Seward's lobbyists as needed; and WHEREAS, this prioritised list validates the projects and greatly focuses the efforts of the administration in our grant and lobbying efforts; and WHEREAS, all the projects on this list are consistent with the City's Comprehensive and Strategic Plans. NOW, THF,REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THF. CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: Section 7 . This list of city projects is hereby declared to be the official city priority list for the City of Seward for the ?009: PORT ANll HARBOR 1. $10 million for Dock/ breakwatcd SM[C 2. $500,000 for Corp of Engineer study for the North dock 3. $7.7 million for inner-harbor improvements 4. $6.5 million for construction of commercial Z-float and slips 5. $2.8 million for SMIC ship repair infrastructure improvements 6. $4 million for SMC dock design 7. $15 million Alaska Railroad Freight Dock ROADS AND STREETS t. $1.5 million for emergency access road/ land acquisition 2. $750,000 for paving northeast harbor lot and new uplands PUBLIC FACILITIES 1. $10 million for the Library/ Museum 2. $12 million for the F'ricnds of the Jesse Lee Home for the restoration of the Jesse Lee Home as a statewide leadership school 3. $8 million for public safety building and jail 4. $1 million for Forest Acres fire station CITY OF SF.WARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION 2008-107 INFRASTRUCTURE l . $2 million for bed load maintenance in the Fourth of July Creek 2. $229,000 for hospital capital equipment 3. $300,000 for replacement of fire pumper 4. $850,000 for platform aerial fire frock 5. $600,000 for ~~~astewater infrastructure rehabilitation STUD[F,S AND PLANS 1. $150,000 for coastal beach erosion 2. $160,000 for water and storm «~ater master plan 3. $200,000 for road and infrastructure study of the Bench (undeveloped city property) 4. $200,000 for development of anet-metering policy compliant with RCA policies.
