Sponsored by: Hunt <br /> CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br /> RESOLUTION 2014-056 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, <br /> ALASKA, APPROVING AN ENGINEERING CONTRACT WITH R & M <br /> CONSULTANTS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $78,813 FOR THE <br /> DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION OF THE NE <br /> HARBOR FISH CLEANING STATION PROJECT AT THE SEWARD <br /> SMALL BOAT HARBOR <br /> WHEREAS, the Seward Harbor Department has received grant funding to design and <br /> build a new fish cleaning station located in the NE portion of the Seward Small Boat Harbor; and <br /> WHEREAS, on April 28, 2014 the Seward City Council approved the grant that requires <br /> a professional design engineer; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City issued a public notice soliciting proposals from qualified firms; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, R & M Consultants was chosen as the best qualified firm and they have <br /> executed a contract to provide engineering services. <br /> ... NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA that: <br /> Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an engineering contract <br /> with R& M Consultants in the amount of$78,813. <br /> Section 2. Funding in the amount of$579,000 was appropriated in Resolution 2014-041 <br /> approved on April 28, 2014, for the full cost of the project. <br /> Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately. <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 14th day of <br /> July 2014. <br />
