RESOLUTION 2016-058
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, APPROVING THE REMOVAL OF THE WORD SMALL
FROM THE PHRASES SEWARD SMALL BOAT HARBOR OR SMALL
BOAT HARBOR WITHIN THE 2016 HARBOR TARIFF
WHEREAS, on March 29, 2016 the City Council of the City of Seward approved the
latest changes to the Harbor Tariff; and
WHEREAS, the Seward Boat Harbor has grown over the years expanding to the East
and then to the South; and
WHEREAS, Administration, along with the Harbormaster, has determined that the
Harbor should no longer be called Seward Small Boat Harbor and to rephrased it as Seward Boat
Harbor; and
WHEREAS, the word "small" should be removed from all the phrases with Seward
small boat harbor or small boat harbor in the 2016 harbor tariff to show Seward Boat Harbor;
and
WHEREAS, this is just a house keeping issue and no other part of the tariff will be
changed
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The removal of the word small from all phrases that say Seward Small Boat
Harbor within the 2016 Harbor Tariff as attached is hereby approved.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective ten (10) days following its approval.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this
26th day of September, 2016.

BACKGROUND &JUSTIFICATION:
The Harbormaster and administration have determined that the word"SMALL" should
be removed from all the phrases with SEWARD SMALL BOAT HARBOR or SMALL BOAT
HARBOR to show SEWARD BOAT HARBOR. The following sections will be changed with the
proper title for the Seward Boat Harbor; Table of contents, section 100 (c) (g) (h) (1), 105 (a),
150(e),200(a) (c-1,3,4,5)(f) (g) (h)205 (e)210, 215 (a), 225 (a 2,4), 231, 235, 250, 280(a)(c-
1) and Legislative History
No other changes are being made to the 2016 tariff and this is just a house keeping issue.

INTENT: The purpose of Resolution 2016-XEY is to approve the removal of the word small
from the phrases Seward Small Boat Harbor or Small Boat Harbor within the 2016 Harbor Tariff.
