HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes2016-012 Sponsored by: Staff Postponed from: September 6,2016 CITY OF SEWARD,ALASKA PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION RESOLUTION 2016-12 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, RECOMMENDING CITY COUNCIL AMEND PORTIONS OF SEWARD CITY CODE 15.10.220 DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENTS — NOTES, TO ALLOW THE MINIMUM LOT SIZE PLATTING OF 3,000 SQUARE FEET AND CLARIFICATION OF LOT SIZE FOR DUPLEX DEVELOPEMNT WHEREAS, City Council has requested a City Code amendment to allow for the platting and single family home development of 3,000 square foot lots; and WHEREAS,the Planning and Zoning Commission held two public work sessions reviewing the platting and development options of 3,000 square foot lots;and WHEREAS, having complied with the public notification process, on September 6, 2016, the Seward Planning and Zoning Commission held the required public hearing and made the following recommendations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning Commission that: Section 1. The Commission recommends Ordinance 2016-_attached and incorporated herein by reference,be forwarded to City Council. Section 2. The Commission further recommends the Council approve Ordinance 2016- amending portions of Seward City Code §15.10.220, Development Requirements-Notes. Section 3.
