This'document"provides a report describing the overall condition of the.tanks and appurtenances, diagrams test locations and .remaining:metal, and includes recoinmendatior s and;cost estimates forri a�or:items.If is not intended to.:address:cod"e issues.:or updates, or structural or design %sues Some wile and structural issues and costs:will'be discussed but the.tanks,as built, are.assumed adequate for their On April 13-and 21 2011 Wince-Cortl ell Bryson personnel inspected."the:400,000 and 200,000 gallon water storage:tanks,:respectively.Each tank wasdrained at the time of its inspection City maintenance-personnel=assisted with"scaffolding set= puand:breakdown, acid as confined-space. Observers-..The inspection of each:tank consisted;of a visual and photograph c suivey of the"tank and its appurtenances and an ultrasound inspection of the metal structure of the tank. Thee ultrasound inspection included a systematic inspection of the tank walls, roof and center post,. and-spot tests of the floor in the 400,000 gal tank or tests of`all floor points m the 200,000 gal tank. 'The:inspection wasaconducted witl a Check Line TI-25LT ultra sound meter,4dOnitt6Ito. 0 .calibrated 3/24/11,<and a standarddial caliper:, SUMMARY WCB recommendsthat the400,000 gallon tank,be'refurbished for continued use. On this,larger tank,;:we found no severe;corrosion•.concerns:or 400,0 widespread:mal loon etss the structure. The interior`-:coating of the,.floor and lower shell is in:;good'to fair condition.
