RESOLUTION 2017-02
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, RECOMMENDING KENAI
PENINSULA BOROUGH APPROVAL OF THE PRELIMINARY REPLAT
OF LOTS 13,14 AND 15,BLOCK 17,ORIGINAL TOWNSITE OF SEWARD,
CREATING ONE LOT TO BE KNOWN AS LOT 14A,WHITE REPLAT
WHEREAS,Lang&Associates,Inc.submitted a preliminary plat to the City of Seward for
review and recommendation to the Kenai Peninsula Borough; and
WHEREAS,this replat vacates interior lot lines,combining three(3)existing Lots, 13, 14
and 15, Block 17, Original Townsite of Seward, into one (1) new lot to be known as Lot 14A,
containing approximately 9,000 square feet;and
WHEREAS,the property at 313 Sixth Avenue is zoned Auto Commercial (AC); and
WHEREAS,the property is currently serviced by municipal water,sewer,electric and other
utilities; and
WHEREAS,City staff have stated that a subdivision installation agreement is not required
for this re-plat.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning
Commission that:
Section 1. The Commission recommends the Kenai Peninsula Borough approve the Seward
Original Townsite, White Replat combining Lots 13, 14 and 15, Block 17, into one(1)new lot of
approximately 9,000 square feet to be known as Lot 14A, subject to the following conditions:
1. Continue to work with the City Electric Department to provide the needed(15 foot)
utility easement on the West property line.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.

of April 2017.
