A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF CITY MANAGER JAMES
HUNT AND SETTING THE TERMS FOR HIS DEPARTURE FROM CITY

WHEREAS, on October 10, 2011, the City Council approved an employment agreement
with James Hunt for City Manager services; and
WHEREAS, at the July 23, 2018 Seward City Council meeting, City Manager James Hunt
tendered his resignation; and
WHEREAS, the letter of resignation provided thirty (30) days' notice, which is in keeping
with his current contract (Amendment #4), and will become effective on August 22, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the Seward City Council will accept James Hunt's wishes and allow for
termination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA that:
Section 1. The employment agreement between the City of Seward and James Hunt for City
Manager services shall terminate on August 22, 2018.
Section 2. Upon conveyance to the City of all files and property in his possession, Hunt shall
be paid all sums due him for time worked and any accumulated vacation leave as required by city
code, Charter, and the employment agreement.
Section 3. This resolution shall take affect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 26"'
day of July, 2018.
