No changes were made to the permit / passes fees at that time. However, during the 2003 budget work sessions, the following changes were recommended to Council and were included into the 2004 Parking Budget. Since parking fees are set by resolution, according to Seward City Code, action is required at this time to amend the fees, per our current budget. 2003 2004 Slip-holder seasonal pass $25 $30 Employee seasonal pass $25 $30 Vehicle with trailer $50 $60 Visitors pass n/a $60 ’ You might recall that during the work sessions, we proposed a new category be defined to allow the regular visitor an invitation to continue to use Seward services, rather than take his/her business to another community. This new category is presented as a marketing tool, an incentive to entice the weekender to stay and return often. This is the customer who would use our local services often, but refuses to pay $5 per day for these many, regular visits. We feel it is in the communitys best interest to encourage this visitor and offer this ’ pass. CONSISTENCY CHECKLIST: Yes No 1. Comprehensive Plan 2. Strategic Plan 3. Not Applicable n/a FISCAL NOTE: The proposed changes in fee increases are included within the approved, 2004 Parking budget. Approved by Finance Department RECOMMENDATION: City Council approve Resolution 2004 - amending the City parking fees schedule for City-owned parking lots as listed in Attachment A.
