CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 81-22
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE
ACQUISITION OF POWER FROM THE
BRADLEY LAKE HYDROELECTRIC PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Seward provides electrical power
to its residents; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward is always in need of addi-
tional power sources; and
WHEREAS, the Alaska Power Administration and the Alaska
Power Authority are, in conjunction with, the Corps of Engineers
constructing a hydroelectric project at Bradley Lake; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward could utilize approximately
thirty (30%) percent of the gross output of that project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that the City of Seward hereby
authorizes the City Manager to proceed in attempting to obtain
power from the Bradley Lake hydroelectric project thereby com-
pleting any steps necessary to do so including writing letters
to the Alaska Power Administration and the Alaska Power Authority
requesting an allocation of power from the Bradley Lake project.
