RESOLUTION No. 48
A Resolution of the Common Council of the City of Seward, Alaska,
Authorizing an Expenditure of $2,200 from The nEducation and Public
Health and Sanitation FundH for the Purpose of Purchasing an
Ambulance.
;~Rr~S, Section 6 (B) Ordinance No. 190-A provides that the
Common Council of the City of Seward, Alaska may make
expenditures from the "Education and Public Health
and Sanitation FundH by resolution for the purpose of
improving Public health and,
WHE...'(BAS, the ~ulance now owned by the City or Seward, Al6.ska
is in a dilapidated and dangerous condition and beyond
the state of repair and there is a need for adequate
nmbulance service to preserve the pu~lic health and
welfare and,
'fHEREAS, the City of Seward Volunteer Ambulance Corps has raised
by public subscription all but $2,200 needed for the
purchase of an ambulance and have requested the City of
Seward, Alaska for said $2,200 with the stipulation
that title to the vehicle shall be vested in the City
of Se.~rd, Alaska.
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Seward, Alaska are
desirous of l~intaining an ambulance service in the
interest of public health and welfare,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RRSOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Seward, Alaska that $2,200 be appropriated to the City of Seward
Volunteer .~ulanoe Corps from the "Education and Pu01ic Health
and Sanitation FUndH.
Passed and approved by the Common Council this 18th day of
January, 1954.
