RESOLUTION NO. 6$
WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Seward Alaska having heretofore
determined to make the improvement known as the Seward Sewer
Project, and having determined to assess the real property
benefited by such improvement to an amount equal to two-thirds
of the cost thereof, and
WHEREAS, said improvement has now been completed and a correct account
has been kept of all the expenses of such improvement, and
WHEREAS, said city council has examined the assessment roll, containing
a brief description or designation of each tract of property bene-
fited by said improvement, the name of the owner or reputed owner
thereof, and the amount of the assessment, assessed against the
various tracts of real estate in proportion to the benefit received
by each in an amount equal to two-thirds of the cost thereof,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City
of Seward, Alaska, that:
(1) Two-thirds of the cost of said improvement be, and hereby is,
assessed against the various tracts of real estate in proportion
to the benefit received by each, as set forth 10 the assessment
roll.
(2) The said council will hear objections to such assessments on
the 7th day of September, 1954, in the Council chambers of the
City Hall, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock, P. M., at which time all
persons concerned shall have a right to present their objectlOns
if any they have to the assessment or any part thereof and to
point out errors and inequalities if any exist and submit such
reasons for amendments and corrections as they may have.
(3) The municipal clerk shall send a written notice by mail to each
owner of a tract against which an assessment is made, which
notice shall state the amount of the assessment against such
particular tract and the time fixed by the council for hearing
objections. Such notice shall be mailed at least fifteen days
before the time of such hearing.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Common Council of the City of
Seward, Alaska, this /9' day of August, 1954.
