RESOLUTION NO. 218
BE IT RESOLVED by The CCBIlon Council of The City of Seward, Alaska,
that due to the tailure of the Sales Tax revenue to adeqll&tely sup-
port the services for which it is levied by vote of the citizens, and
due to the fact that the Proposition to increase the Sales Tax from
Two Per Cent (2%) to Three Per Cent (3%) was defeated at the polls
Nov8ber 8, 1960, so that there is little or no possibility of the
Sales Tax being able to repa;r its debt to the Cit7 General Fund in
the foreseeabla ful:.ure, that the surplus asset in the amount of
Forty-two Thousand Two Hundred Forty-seven and 76/100 ($42,247.76)
which is due to the City General Fwr1 in papl8nt of various advances
made to the Sales Tax Fund, and which was restricted by Resolution
No. 176 passed and approved October 5, 1960, be declared an uncol-
lectible receivable and be striken from the books of account of
the City of Seward, upon request of the Cit7 Manager and Controller
and on advice of the Auditor.
This Resolution to be in full force and effect :iJllae<tiate17 upon
pasaage and approval.
