RESOLUTION NO. 234
WHEREAS the information presently available from a hole drilled
in Lowell Canyon is incomplete, and
WHEREAS it is likely that sufficient water will be obtained in
this locality to provide a well for the City of Seward at a
savings of some Forty Thousand($40,000) Dollars and possibly
annual pumping costs.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that upon acceptance of the drilling
of a ten (lO") inch well at a location approximately one hundred
(100') feet below the Lowell Creek Dam for purposes of providing
more accurate information as to the total ground water potential
available in the Lowell Canyon area, the cost of said test dril-
ling is estimated not to exceed One Thousand Five Hundred ($1,500)
Dollars, by Housing & Home Finance Agency under Agreement for
Public Works Plan Preparation Project No. P-Alaska 3040, that
Supplement No. 1 dated
(to be completed after
authorization from Housing & Home Finance Agency) to Agreement
between Owner and Engineer for Professional Services in connection
with Project No. P-Alaska 3040, be approved and the Manager and
Clerk of the City of Seward are hereby instructed to execute and
deliver the above described Supplemental Agreement No.1.
This Resolution to be in full force and effect immediately upon
passage and approval. Passed and approved by the Common Council
of the City of Seward. Alaska. this
