RESOLUTION NO. 250
WHEREAS. the Housing & Home Finance Agency has entered into
Agreement for Public Works Plan Preparation Project No. P-Alaska
3040 with the City of Seward for planning improvements to the Seward
Water System. and
WHEREAS. two test holes were drilled in Lowell Canyon in
engineering to establish if there was sufficient water from this
source to provide a well for the City of Seward. and
,..
WHEREAS. the Engineer advised that the results of these two
wells were not clear enough to enable him to make a recommendation.
the City Council approved the drilling of a third well in Lowell
Canyon, and
WHEREAS. the Lowell Canyon source has received priority
recommendation from the Engineer. and
WHEREAS. the total cost of the Public Works Plan Preparation
under the above Project. due to the cost of drilling these test
wells in Lowell Canyon. is $1729.00 above the total of the approved
Agreement No. P-Alaska 3040.
NOW THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby
instructed to execute a supplemental application to the Housing
& Home Finance Agency for approval of an additional One Thousand
Seven Hundred Twenty-nine and no/100 ($1729.00) Dollars under
Agreement for Public Works Plan Preparation Project No. P-Alaska
3040 and shall forward it with full explanation and request for
sympathetic consideration to Housing & Home Finance Agency.
This Resolution to be in full force and effect immediately
upon passage and approval.
Passed and approved by the City Council of Seward. Alaska.
