RESOLUTION 2004-119
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 16 TO THE CONTRACT WITH
KENT DAWSON COMPANY, INC. FOR STATE LOBBYING SERVICES
THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2005
WHEREAS, the City of Seward has employed Kent Dawson as our state lobbyist since
1980; and
WHEREAS, this contract has been extended each year since; and
WHEREAS, the contract expires December 31, 2004.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Council hereby approves Amendment No. 16 to the contract with Kent
Dawson Company, Inc., continuing state lobbying services through December 31, 2005.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 14th
day of December, 2004.

BACKGROUND & JUSTIFICATION:
The current contract with Kent Dawson Company employs Mr. Dawson as the City’s state lobbyist
through December 31, 2004 at a compensation rate of $58,000 annually. Amendment No. 16 would
extend the contract through December 31, 2005.
