CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION 2002-086
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH ECIIHYER ARCHITECTS,
INC. TO PERFORM THE HISTORIC STRUCTURE REPORT FOR
THE JESSE LEE HOME REHABILITATION PROJECT, PHASE I
AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska has appropriated grant funds, from state and
federal sources totaling $65,000 to the City of Seward in order to have a consultant
prepare a historic structure report for the Jesse Lee Home; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward is entitled to receive $5,909 of the grant funds to
cover its administrative costs, but desires to allocate $3,329 of its administrative fee to
complete the project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward advertised a Request for Proposal for the historic
structure report; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward has evaluated the respondents proposals; taking
into consideration price and the evaluation factors set out in the Requests for Proposals;
and
WHEREAS, ECI/Hyer Architects, Inc. is determined to be the responsible and
responsive proposer whose proposal is most advantageous to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY. COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA that: .
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with ECI/Hyer
Architects, Inc., for a cost not to exceed $62,400.
Section 2. The amount of $3,329 is hereby appropriated from the General Fund
administration overhead revenue account no. 101-0-3070-0271 to the Jesse Lee Home
Renovation project, account no. 271-0-3070-0.
Section 3. This resolution shall take affect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
23rd day of September, 2002.
