RESOLUTION 2002-095
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INCREASE THE
CONTRACT WITH ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEMS FOR THE RECONDI-
TIONING OF THE SPRING CREEK LOAD TAP CHANGER FROM $33,500
TO $42,915.60, AN INCREASE OF $9,415.60
WHEREAS, the City Manager has previously entered into a contract with Electric Power
Systems to recondition the Load Tap Changer (LTC) at Spring Creek Substation for a price of
$33,500, including materials; and
WHEREAS, when the LTC was disassembled it was found that the damage was much more
extensive than anticipated; and
WHEREAS, the final cost ofthe work was $42,915.60, including materials. This created
an overage of$9,415.60.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITYCOUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1 The City manager is authorized to amend the contract with Electric Power
Systems (EPS) from $33,500 to $42,915.60 and pay based on the billing submitted by EPS and
attached to this resolution.
Section 2. Funding to be from Accounts 501-5400-5380 ($25,000), General Operating
Expense; and 501-511 0-5380 $17,915.60, Substation Operations.
Section 3.
This resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 23rd
day of September 2002.
