CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 81-38
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RECEIPT OF
TWO MUNICIPAL ASSISTANCE GRANTS FROM THE
STATE OF ALASKA FOR THE FOURTH OF
JULY CREEK INDUSTRIAL PARK
WHEREAS, FCCS HB 50 (1981) Session appropriated a
$2,000,000 grant for the purposes of Industrial site
shore protection at the Fourth of July Creek Industrial
Park; and
WHEREAS, FCCS HB 50 (1981) Session appropriated a
$11,725,000 grant for the purposes of the Fourth of July
Creek Industrial Park; and
WHEREAS, AS 37.05.315 requires that the City accept
these grants by Ordinance or Resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, THAT:
Section 1. The grant of $2,000,000 for site shore
protection at the Fourth of July Creek Industrial Park
is accepted.
Section 2. The grant of $11,725,000 for the Fourth of
July Creek Industrial Park lS accepted.
Section 3. The City Council requests the State of
Alaska, Department of Administration to consolidate the
grants under one agreement as both appropriations are
earmarked for the Fourth of July Creek Industrial Park
project; further, such consolidation would greatly
facilitate the financial administration of this project.
Section 4. This resolution takes effect immediately
upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, this 24th day of August, 1981.
