CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 82-6
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, DESIGNATING KERTTULA SCENIC VIEWPOINT
WHEREAS, the City of Seward, Alaska recognizes the Honorable
Jalmar Kerttula' s outstanding contributions to the City of Seward and
the State of Alaska during his years of service in the Alaska State
Legislature; and
WHEREAS, Senator Kerttula has long shared the City of Seward's
vision of a world-class port located within Resurrection Bay; and
WHEREAS, Senator Kerttula's dedication to this idea has made
dream a reality in the form of the Fourth of July Marine Industrial
Center;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The scenic overlook located at Mile 3.4 , Nash
Road, Seward, Alaska shall be designated Kerttula Scenic Viewpoint.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, this 22nd day of February , 1982.
