RESOLUTION NO. 82-8
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING THE CITY CLERK/PERSONNEL OFFICER
AND RESCINDING ALL PRIOR RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH
WHEREAS, on January ll,
resignation as tendered by City
Shanley, and
1982, the City Council accepted the
Clerk/Personnel Officer JoAnne E.
WHEREAS, on January 25,
Deputy City Clerk Linda Murphy
Clerk/Personnel Officer;
1982, the City Council appointed
to succeed Ms. Shanley as City
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that Linda S. Murphy is hereby appointed City
Clerk/Personnel Officer of the City of Seward, Alaska, effective the
25th day of February, 1982, to perform, or provide for the
performance, of all of the duties of said office as described in
Section 5.5 of the Seward Home Rule Charter, Sections 2.30.080,
2.40.350-360 of the Seward City Code, and as otherwise required by
law;
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Ms. Murphy shall be
compensated at the rate of $2,674.00 per month, effective February 25,
1982; and, further, is entitled to any additional fringe benefits
pursuant to Chapter l7 of the Seward City Code;
AND, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that said Linda S. Murphy shall
immediately secure a faithful performance of duties bond from a
company registered to do such business in the State of Alaska, to
cover these duties, in the principal sum of $40,000, naming the City
of Seward as beneficiary, the premium of which shall be paid by the
City.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, this 22nd day of February, 1982.
