CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 82-ll
A RESOLUTION MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
CONTINGENCY FUND TO THE GENERAL SERVICES FUND, SEWARD LIFE ACTION
COUNCIL FOR THE PURPOSES OF FUNDING THE PURCHASE OF A 1979 SUBURBAN
WHEREAS, the City of Seward has donated to the Seward Life Action
Council the use of a 1974 Chevrolet station wagon; and
WHEREAS, the U.S. Forest Service recently surplused several late model
Chevrolet Suburbans; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward, Seward General Hospital and Seward Life
Action Council were made recipients of several of these vehicles through Alaska
Surplus Property Service; and
WHEREAS, Seward Life Action Council desires to return the 1974 Chevrolet
station wagon to the City in return for the City granting them the funds necessary to
purchase a 1979 Chevrolet 3/4/ton Suburan from Alaska Surplus Property Service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of $l, 300 is hereby appropriated from the Hayor
and Council Contingency account No. lOl-lll-Sll-lO-69 to the General Services account
No. lOl-ll8-Sl8-l3-6l for the Seward Life Action Council to purchase a 1979
Chevrolet 3/4 ton Suburban from Alaska Surplus Property Service.
Section 2. This appropriation is contingent on the return by the Seward
Life Action Council to the City of Seward the 1974 Chevrolet station wagon.
Section 3. This resolution takes effect immediately upon its adoption.

this 8th day of March 1982.
