RESOLUTION 2002-031
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT WITH KENAI CHRYSLER CENTER INC. FOR THE
PURCHASE OF ONE (1) POLICE PATROL VEHICLE, THE COST NOT TO
EXCEED $23,385.00
WHEREAS, the City properly advertised for bids on the police vehicle, and
WHEREAS, Kenai Chrysler Center Inc. of Kenai, Alaska was the low bidder, and
WHEREAS, the bid was responsive to the request for bids, and
WHEREAS, the Police Department has sufficient funds in the Motor Pool Retained
Earnings Account to cover the cost of the new vehicle.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to issue a purchase order to Kenai Chrysler
Center Inc. in an amount not to exceed $23,385.00 to purchase one (1) model 2002 Dodge Durango
vehicle for the Police Department.
Section 2. The cost ofthe new vehicle, $23,385.00, will be charged to the Motor Pool Fund
Retained Earnings Account 102-0000-3050.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 8th day
of April, 2002.
