RESOLUTION 2002-063
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, ACCEPTING A $27,900 GRANT FROM THE KENAI PENINSULA
BOROUGH FOR THE PURPOSE OF REMOVING SPRUCE BARK BEETLE
DAMAGED TREES FROM THE TRANSMISSION LINE RIGHT-OF-WAY
WHEREAS, the Kenai Peninsula Borough has granted $27,900 to the City of Seward
Electric Department for the purpose of removing Spruce Bark Beetle Trees from the Electric
Department Transmission Line Right-of-Way; and
WHEREAS, the City must formally accept this grant through a Council Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City of Seward accepts this grant of $27,900 from the Kenai Peninsula
Borough which will help pay for removal of Spruce Bark Beetle damaged trees from the
Transmission Line Right-of-Way.
Section 2. The money to be placed in Account 501-0-4680-0000 for use by the Electric
Department for removal of Spruce Bark Beetle damaged trees.
Section 3.
This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council ofthe City of Seward, Alaska, this 8th day
of July, 2002.
