RESOLUTION 2001-006
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO RECLASSIFY THE
ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER POSITION FROM A RANGE 24-27 TO A
RANGE 29 AND CHANGE THE TITLE TO DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRA-
TIVE SERVICES AND THE PLANNING AND ZONING TECHNICIAN
POSITION FROM A RANGE 17 TO A RANGE 19 AND CHANGE THE
TITLE TO PLANNER
WHEREAS, the City Manager has developed a plan for the reorganization of the
Administration and Finance Departments; and
WHEREAS, the Assistant City Manager posItIon title will change to Director of
Administrative Services and be reclassified from a Range 24-27 to a Range 29; and
WHEREAS, this plan will increase the duties and responsibilities of the Planning and
Zoning Technician, the Planning and Zoning Technician position title 'Yill change to Planner and
be re classified from a Range 17 to a Range 19; .'
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to reclassify the Assistant City Manager position
from a Range 24-27 to a Range 29 and change the title to Director of Administrative Services.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to reclassify the Planning and Zoning Technician
from a Range 17 to a Range 19 and change the title to Planner
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council ofthe city of Seward, Alaska, this 8th day
ofJanuary, 2001.
