RESOLUTION 2001-072
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
APPROVE A PURCHASE ORDER IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000 TO
RESURRECTION RENTALS FOR PORT-A-POTTY RENTALS
WHEREAS, every year portable toilets are needed in the city parks, campgrounds and
playfields to accommodate the public; and,
WHEREAS, an exemption from the competitive procurement procedures is allowed since
Resurrection Rentals is the only local provider for this service; and,
WHEREAS, an estimated budget for this 2001 fiscal year, based on previous years'
figures, is $25,500.00, and,
WHEREAS, Council action is required to authorize any amount exceeding $10,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to approve a purchase order for the
sum of $25,000.00 to Resurrection Rentals.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska this 1 Ith
day ofJune, 2001.
