RESOLUTION 2001-081
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, ACCEPTING A $2,500 GRANT FROM ALASKANS FORLITfER
PREVENTION AND RECYCLING (ALPAR)
WHEREAS, Seward Parks and Recreation Department has been awarded a grant from
Alaskans for Litter Prevention and Recycling (ALPAR); and,
WHEREAS, the grant will fund a youth litter patrol consisting of an adult leader and a part-
time crew of three to five youth workers; and,
WHEREAS, litter pick up is desired among community members and visitors; and,
WHEREAS, beautification projects are consistent with City plans; and,
WHEREAS, Council action is required to accept the grant and appropriate funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The grant totaling $2,500 from ALPAR is hereby accepted and appropriated to
the ALPAR Special Project Revenue Account 215-2155-4680-0900.
Section 2. Funds totaling $2,500 are hereby appropriated to the ALPAR Expenditures
Account 215-2155-XXXX as follows:

215-2155-5080
215-2155-5090
Salaries
Workers' Compensation
Social Security
TOTAL

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska this 25th day
of June, 2001.
