RESOLUTION 2001-092
A RESOLUTION OF mE CITY COUNCIL OF mE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUmORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AMEND PURCHASE
ORDER NUMBER 26144 WITH STORM CHASERS, INCORPORATED FOR
SUBSTANTIAL EARLY COMPLETION OF mE SMALL BOAT HARBOR
FISH CLEANING STATIONS AND APPROPRIATING $32,775 FOR THE
CHANGE
WHEREAS; bids for the completion oftwo fish cleaning stations were received and opened
on May 10, 2001; and
WHEREAS, the contract was awarded to Storm Chasers, Incorporated and the budget for
the project was approved on May 29,2001 by City of Seward Council resolution 2001-068; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved a twenty per cent incentive bonus for completion on
or before July 15, 2001; and
WHEREAS, some items not affecting operation of the cleaning stations are incomplete, yet
staff and the Tryck Nyman Hayes project engineer recommend award of an early completion bonus
for an amount not to exceed $31,136.25.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF mE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section L $32,775 is appropriated from the B-Street Dock Fund, XXX-XXXX-OOOO to the
Small Boat Harbor Repair and Renovation Capital Project, 315-3150-5790, for payment of the
substantial early completion bonus for Storm Chasers, Incorporated.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to amend Purchase Order Number 26144 with
Storm Chasers, Incorporated for an amount not to exceed $32,775, for substantial early completion
of the Fish Cleaning Stations.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 23rd day
of July 2001.
