CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION 2001-094
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXTEND AND
INCREASE THE CONTRACT WITH WOODS & ASSOCIATES FOR AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $2,000
WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution No. 2001-13 authorizing the city
manager to enter into a contract with Woods & Associates for an amount not to exceed
$30,000 to review the City of Seward Classification and Compensation Plan; and
WHEREAS, Bill Wood, with Woods & Associates, has completed his study and
submitted the results to the city manager and the Council; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wood would help implement the 2001 Salary and Compensation
Study by providing one informational session to the management staff and two sessions for the
employees; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wood has proposed to increase his scope of services for this
additional work for an amount not to exceed $2,000; and
WHEREAS, the session contents will be similar to the Council presentation to help
employees understand and buy-in to the results of the study with question and answer
opportunities to be provided throughout each session; and
WHEREAS, no additional appropriations are being requested with funding to be from
the General Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized to extend and increase the contract
with Woods & Associates for an amount not to exceed $2,000.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 23rd
day of July, 2001.
