RESOLUTION 2001-105
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT WITH AAA FENCE, INC., FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $22,290.40, TO CONSTRUCT THE JESSE LEE HOME SECURITY
FENCE
WHEREAS, a request for bids to construct a security fence, without barbed wire, around
the Jesse Lee Home was properly advertised; and,
WHEREAS, the City needs to secure the property to mitigate possible liability for injury;
and,
WHEREAS, funds have been appropriated to cover the cost of this project; and,
WHEREAS, a 10% contingency has been added to the contractor's bid price to cover the
cost of any unforseen problems in placing the fence; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City
of Seward with AAAFence, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $22,290;40 to construct the Jesse Lee
Home Security Fence with funds from account 101-1180-5790.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 27 day
of August, 200 L
