RESOLUTION 2001-167
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR ANIMAL CONTROL
SERVICES WITH JENNIFER ROY, DBA CARPE CANIS
WHEREAS, the City has the option to renew the animal control contract for an additional
year; and
WHEREAS, the contractor is serving as the current animal control officer for the city and
has initiated many community awareness programs; and
WHEREAS, the annual cost of this contract will be $58,000 which is an increase of$3,400
from the current contract; and
WHEREAS, the current operator Jennifer Roy has been doing an excellent job; and
WHEREAS, the contract term is from January 1, 2002, to December 31, 2002.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The contract for animal control services for the annual amount of $58,000,
between Jennifer Roy, DBA Carpe Canis is approved. The contract will start January 1, 2002 and
continue through December 31, 2002.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 10 day
of December, 2001.
