RESOLUTION 2000-003
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AMENDING THE EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE
CITY CLERK
WHEREAS, Patrick Reilly has been employed by the City of Seward Council as the City
Clerk since August 27, 1997; and
WHEREAS,the city clerk does not participate in standard employee step increases or cost
ofliving allowances (COLA) as outlined in the Seward City Code, and any increase in pay must be
by an amendment to the employment agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to increase Reilly's salary by the equivalent of the
FY2000 COLA given to the employees, which is 2.5 percent;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The attached amendment 3, to the employment agreement dated August 27, 1997,
between Patrick Reilly and the City of Seward is amending paragraph 2 to read as follows:
Reilly shall be paid at the rate of $52,767.00 per year until July 1,
2001. The City Council agrees to review Reilly's salary annually prior
to the adoption of the City's fiscal budget in December.
Section 2. The effective date of this amendment shall be January 2,2000.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 10th day
ofJanuary,2000.
