RESOLUTION 2000-008
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, SUPPORTING THE WESLEY REHABILITATION AND CARE
CENTER REQUEST FOR A STATE OF ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION AND PUBLIC FACILITIES GRANT FOR THE
PURCHASE OF A NEW VAN WITH A WHEELCHAIR LIFT
WHEREAS, Wesley Rehabilitation and Care Center transports residents throughout our
community and south central Alaska; and
WHEREAS,the van currently used to transport is no longer fit to meet Wesley Rehabilitation
and Care Center's needs; and
WHEREAS,The State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities has a
grant program available for these types of needs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Council supports the Wesley Rehabilitation and Care Center request for
a State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities grant for the purchase of a new
van with a wheelchair lift.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 10th day
ofJanuary,2000.
