CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 89-146
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
CERTAIN HOSPITAL EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 6.10.215 of the Seward
city Code, a request for proposals for hospital equipment was
published; and
WHEREAS, no responses were received by the deadline of
November 8, 1989; and
WHEREAS, it was determined that the hospital equipment is
highly specialized and manufactured and sold by only a number of
vendors; and
WHEREAS, the hospi tal
quotes from major suppliers
center equipment; and
administration has solicited price
for lab equipment and neonatal care
WHEREAS, on November 20, 1989, the Seward community Hospital
Board unanimously approved the purchase of certain lab equipment
and a neonatal care unit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city Manager is authorized to have the
hospital administrator issue purchase orders for the purchase of
the equipment as follows:
Baxter Health corporation - lab equipment - $32,000
Hill-Rom - neonatal care center equipment - $11,193
Section 2. Purchase of the equipment is contingent upon city
council approval of Resolution No. 89-144, approving a lease
purchase agreement for city equipment between the City and security
Pacific Bank, N.A.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the city Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 27th day of November, 1989.
