CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 89-152
A RESOLUTION
ALASKA,
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
CERTIFYING THE POPULATION OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD AS OF JULY 1, 1989
WHEREAS, annually the State of Alaska, Department of Community
and Regional Affairs determines municipal population for state
revenue sharing purposes; and
WHEREAS, the city's FY 90 population determination of 2,400
was based upon a January, 1987, Kenai Peninsula Borough census; and
WHEREAS, since that time the Spring
Facility with Three Hundred Sixty Three, (363)
operational; and
Creek Correctional
inmates has become
WHEREAS, a housing unit count indicates an additional Sixty
Six, (66) people based on Twenty Three, (23) new housing units
within the city since January, 1987.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY eOUNCIL OF THE eITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The population of the city of Seward is certified
to be Two Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Nine, (2,829) as of
July 1, 1989.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 11th day of December, 1989.
