CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-032
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ACCEPTING TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP OF LOTS
1 AND 2, MARATHON ADDITION, FROM SEWARD GENERAL
HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION, INC. TO THE CITY OF SEWARD
WHEREAS,
Addition, are
Inc.; and
the medical clinic and Lots 1 and 2, Marathon
owned by the Seward General Hospital Association,
WHEREAS, the City and Seward General Hospital Association,
Inc. are cooperating in the development of a new hospital complex
to be located on Lots 1 and 2, Marathon Addition; and
WHEREAS, Lots 1 and 2, Marathon Addition will be replatted
along with other city property upon which the present hospital is
located to create a single parcel in preparation for construction
of a new hospital complex;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept
the transfer of Lots 1 and 2, Marathon Addition, from Seward
General Hospital Association, Inc., to the City of Seward in
accordance with the attached Warranty Deed which is incorporated
herein by reference.
Section 2. It is in the public interest to waive requirements
for an appraisal of the properties.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect thirty (30) days
following notice of posting and passage of this resolution.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 9th day of April, 1990.
