CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-046
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING SALES TAX
CONTRIBUTIONS TO SEWARD GENERAL HOSPITAL
WHEREAS, the Seward City Council enacted Ordinance No. 507 on
March 8, 1982, adopting a one percent sales tax; and
WHEREAS, revenues from the sales tax are available as a part
of the city's general revenues to assist Seward General Hospital;
and
WHEREAS, the administrator of Seward General Hospital has
requested that the Seward City Council contribute to the hospital
the full one percent sales tax collected by the city; and
WHEREAS, this contribution will be used to repay monies owed
the city's General Fund by the hospital; and
WHEREAS, the sales tax has been collected and reconciled for
the third quarter of FY 1990;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of Nine Hundred Eight Dollars and Fifty-
Nine Cents ($908.59), representing the difference between the
hospital's share of budgeted sales tax revenues and those revenues
actually collected in the Third Quarter of FY 1990, is hereby
appropriated from the Sales Tax Revenue Account No. 101-0000-4120-
0100 to the General Government Service Account No. 101-1185-5610.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 14th day of May, 1990.
