CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-049
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT
FOR SHRUB AND TREE CLEANUP AND CLEARING
WHEREAS, on May 3, 1990, the city advertised a request for
bids for tree and shrub clearing along electric lines in the Seward
utility District; and
WHEREAS, five bids were received; and
WHEREAS, D & L Construction was the lowest responsive bidder;
and
WHEREAS, D & L Construction has performed satisfactorily on
previous jobs for the city;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manger is hereby authorized to award a
contract for shrub and tree clearing to D & L Construction for an
amount not to exceed Fifteen Thousand, One Hundred Twenty Dollars
($15,120.00) with a contingency amount of One Thousand six Hundred
Dollars ($1,600.00) for a total project amount of Sixteen Thousand,
Seven Hundred Twenty Dollars ($16,720.00).
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 29th day of May, 1990.
