CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-137
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ACCEPTING A RURAL COMMUNITY
FIRE PROTECTION GRANT FROM THE STATE OF ALASKA
WHEREAS, the Seward Fire Department has been awarded a Rural
Community Fire Protection Grant from the state of Alaska; and
WHEREAS, the city of Seward wishes to accept the grant as
awarded;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The $5,000 Rural Community Fire Protection Grant
awarded by the state of Alaska Department of Natural Resources is
hereby ACCEPTED.
Section 2. The sum of $5,000 is hereby appropriated from the
Grant Revenue Account No. 101-0000-4420-0160, the sum of $2,140 is
appropriated from the Sales Tax Revenue Account No. 101-0000-4120-
0100, and the total sum of $7,140 is appropriated to the Fire
Department Equipment Account No. 101-1220-5930.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 29th day of October, 1990.
