RESOLUTION 2000-025
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PAY ALASKA
RURAL ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION (ARECA) DUES IN
THE AMOUNT OF $11,771
WHEREAS, Alaska Rural Electric Cooperative Association (ARECA) is the organization
representing telephone and electric utilities in the State of Alaska; and
WHEREAS,it is extremely important for the City of Seward to meet and work with other
electric utilities on common problems of all types; and
WHEREAS, this is the most valuable organization to which the City of Seward Electric
Utility belongs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to pay the Alaska Rural Electric Cooperative
Association (ARECA) dues for the Electric Enterprise Fund, account 501- 5400- 5130, in the amount
of $11,771.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 13th
day of March, 2000.
